What is paleo diet – Paleo Diet Plan

 Paleo Diet Plan

The Paleo diet, also known as the Paleolithic, stone age, primal and caveman diet, is based on the idea of eating foods and following fitness guidelines that the human body was designed for through the years of human evolution.

The foods included in the Paleo diet are foods that were available through hunting and gathering, such as nuts, seeds, fish, meat, fruits, and vegetables.

Modern times have made it possible to have access to other forms of food, such as dairy, grains and processed foods that are difficult for the body to digest. The foods that are recommended in the Paleo diet are meant to provide the body with long-lasting and more efficient energy that also help to burn fat.

The foods included in the Paleo diet are thought to be beneficial for regulating blood sugar, improving digestion, increasing metabolism and helping regulate sleep. There are several variants of the Paleo diet; however, each version follows several key principles; the only foods that are eaten are those that can be hunted or picked in nature, foods that cannot be eaten raw should be avoided, and meat products are from animals that are fed natural food.

Other key principles of the Paleo diet include *Avoid high fructose corn syrup, sugar and refined vegetable and seed oils that are only available through heavy industrial processing.*Avoid Grains, especially wheat*Avoid legumes, particularly soy*Avoid tubers, such as potatoes*Grass-fed and grass-finished beef is preferred over grain-fed beef*Pasture-raised poultry is preferred over conventionally raised poultry*Coconut oil, butter, tallow, and lard is considered natural fats and thought to be more neutral and better for you than refined oils.

It is important to note that none of the versions of the Paleo diet recommend that all foods be eaten raw, but foods that cannot be eaten raw should be avoided, potatoes for example. When following the Paleo diet, whole grains are to be completely avoided for some reasons. The main reason for avoiding whole grains is the human body has not completely adapted to digesting grains, and they contain toxic anti-nutrients, gluten, and lectins that your body is unable to properly digest.

Lectins bind your insulin receptors, bind to the intestinal lining and cause a metabolic syndrome that leads to obesity. Gluten, which is found in rye, wheat, and barley, is thought to compromise the levels of calcium and vitamin D3, which can lead to bone defects and hyperparathyroidism.

The Paleo diet primarily includes proteins, fruits, and vegetables, because:*Eating lean proteins will help to support strong muscles, the immune function and build healthy bones and protein helps you feel full between meals.

*Fruits and Vegetables are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and phytonutrients, which have been shown to decrease the risk of developing several degenerative diseases, including diabetes, cancer and neurological decline.

*Diets That are rich in monounsaturated and Omega-3 fats have been shown to drastically reduce the instances of cancer, obesity, heart disease, diabetes and cognitive decline. There is a vast array of benefits with the Paleo diet, including weight loss and an increase in muscle mass. The primary basis of the Paleo diet is to eat the foods that your body is meant to consume, such as foods that are free from preservatives, artificial flavorings and colors, and chemicals, such as pesticides. Also read About
